In the year 2020, the flood has destroyed many farmlands, houses, hundreds of kilometres of roads, bridges, and snapped rail links. Millions of people became homeless and about 79 people were killed.
Bosco Reach Out conducted a flood-survey in Chirang district for 157 families. It was observed that 80% of children have been affected by the common cold, fever, flu, skin diseases, and infection. Around 75% of the household people don’t have proper sanitation facilities. BRO distributed relief material kits to 63 households in the Chirang district to provide immediate relief to the marooned flood victims for survival.
