The word ‘Bharosa’ is a Hindi word which stands for ‘Trust’ in English, is the key concept behind the formation of this Migration Desk. The Migration Desk of the Salesian Province of Guwahati titled Don Bosco Bharosa was inaugurated on 24th February 2021, by Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco School, Guwahati, Fr. Joseph Teron, SDB, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Guwahati.
The primary intention behind the formation of Don Bosco Bharosa is to provide safe migration to the youth of Northeast India. As said, “Trust is the highest form of human motivation”, Bosco Reach Out also tries to build trust amongst the employees and hiring companies. The job-seeking youth population, in general, has their trust in the Don Bosco Brand. Similarly, the company’s hiring them also have trust that the employees recommended by Don Bosco Institutions will be honest and hardworking. Northeast has three centres including Dimapur, Guwahati, and Shillong along with various sub-centers.
The youth of North East are spread in all the major cities of India. This Migration desk will be networked with similar desks in the other parts of the country. Any migrant will be assisted by the nearest Migrant Desk of the Don Bosco Society. At present, the desk is collecting data of migrants. Soon a placement cell will be created based at Guwahati, which aims to provide the youth with safe jobs.
