Bosco Reach Out on May 25, 2018 launched Integrated Tribal Development Programme – BAGAN Project in collaboration with NABARD Assam at Malivita, Sidli block, Chirang district of Assam following the concept of Wadi model (small orchard) of tribal development, which is already successful in Gujarat and Maharastra.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Shyamal Kr. Dey the DDM NABARD of Chirang and Fr. A. Jayaprakash the Executive Director of Bosco Reach Out Guwahati in the presence of more than 50 farmer’s families of Malivita VCDC of Sidli block. Other dignitaries and invitees present at the launching programme were Dr. Kameswar Das the Programme Coordinator and Senior Scientist of KVK Kajalgaon Chirang, Mr. J. Narzary the Chairman of VCDC Malivita, Sr. Bincy Emmanuel the Head Mistress of Don Bosco School Malivita, Ms. Saptarupa Bhattacharjee the Subject Matter Specialist of KVK Kajalgaon Chirang, Ms. Juri Talukdar the Subject Matter Specialist of KVK Kajalgaon Chirang, Mr. Kripal Borah Talukdar the Subject Matter Specialist (Soil Sc.) of KVK Kajalgaon Chirang, and Smt. Minku Das the Programme Coordinator of Bosco Reach Out Guwahati. A symbolic planting material was conducted to encourage the participants to join the programme.
